The Nov. 11 Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the end of hostilities in the First World War. Germany signed the Armistice at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Allied countries including Canada, Britain and France have been marking the day to recognize the sacrifice of soldiers in all wars.
